Katarina has been working at Druid since 2019. Currently she is focusing more on front-end, even though she is a full-stack developer. Before working at Druid, Katarina had already been doing a project together with Druid, so the actual transfer of becoming a druid was not hard.
Katarina says that a typical work day starts with a daily, where she and the team go through what needs to be done, who is working on what and whether some help will be needed in the project. “We usually use Scrum in our projects with sprints that last one or two weeks”, Katarina explains. In her current project, she meets the team for sprint formalities, like Review and Planning, every second week, and she also has a refinement analysis with the customer every week to ensure that the project is proceeding as it should.
Enjoys working at Druid: "The quality is really high in everything we do. That was the main reason I chose to work at Druid. We also use the latest technologies and there is so much to learn every day from each other", says Katarina. She mentions that working together and spending time with colleagues is important. "Having lunch together, going for beer tastings and doing some remote work trips and just sharing the everyday life makes it nice to work with these people".
Life outside of work: "I love to travel, to discover new countries and cities. I enjoy learning and reading about new cultures and languages. My favourite destinations are currently Sweden and Italy, they remind me a lot of each other." Katarina has also studied music and plays the piano, so music is another dear hobby.
