Jasper joined Druid in 2017. Before joining the company he had already been doing some projects for Druid as a freelancer, so the jump to become an employee was pretty easy. Jasper works as a full stack developer, enjoys solving problems and feels that this is where he's at his best. Some of the technologies Jasper currently uses include TypeScript, PHP, and Docker containers.
About work: Jasper says that the best thing about working at Druid is spending time with colleagues – also outside of working hours. "Before the pandemic, we used to go out with colleagues and customers, we had team dinners at each other's places and spent a lot of time together. Hopefully soon again."
One of the highlights of his career so far was when he discovered the biggest vulnerability in Drupal a few years ago, the Highly Critical Remote Code Execution in Drupal (SA-CORE-2018-002). Jasper was rewarded with some bonuses for this find and invited as the keynote speaker for Drupal Hack Camp in Romania in 2018.
Life outside of work: In his free time Jasper enjoys playing Minecraft and drawing. Before the pandemic, Jasper used to draw some live models once a week, but lately the drawing has been more graphic work done on the computer.
